Physician Assistant, Inpatient Otolaryngology Key Responsibilities:Responsibilities will pertain to all aspects of inpatient care. Rounding in the morning and afternoon with senior team membersHandling all floor work and patient dischargesSeeing inpatient, ICU and ER consultsAdmitting patients from the ER, clinics and operating roomWork closely with ORL attendings, fellows and residentsWe also cover the BIDMC and BWH for neonatal consults, which are seen with and staffed by BCH ORL attendingsOrdering and interpreting necessary diagnostic tests, consultations and procedures and issuing appropriate prescriptions/medications.Assisting in the operating room as needed.Actively participating in Department of ORL educational meetings and conferences.Working 40 hours per week: Four 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday. Boston campus only.Minimum QualificationsEducationMaster of Physician Assistant StudiesExperiencePrevious surgical experience as a PA is preferredPrior Otolaryngology and or Pediatric PA experience strongly preferredLicensure/CertificationsA current Massachusetts PA license
