Job Description Responsible for developing technical content and processes using XML, SGML, and S1000D authoring publishing systems, DTDs, Schemas, data modules, style sheets to include XSL, Arbortext Styler, and FOSI support. Ensure the tools comply with the required standards and specifications. Responsibilities:<ol style="margin-bottom:11px"><li style="margin-left:8px">Develop XML/SGML content using Arbortext or similar.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Maintain Arbortext Style Sheets including FOSI support. </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Perform testing for upgrades and patches of PTC Arbortext Editor, Styler and Publishing tools.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Maintain Windchill ProjectLink workflows.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Perform testing for upgrades and patches of Windchill.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Maintain tools designed to convert DOORS content to XML and publish to PDF.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Maintain and develop Visual Basic Scripts to support XML processes.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Maintain tools designed to support an XML Windchill repository.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Maintain the process to create Component Maintenance Publications using S1000D, ATA 1000BR specification, and the Raytheon EAGLE Publishing System or similar Publishing system.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Work with Boeing's Supplier Portal and Boeing's SEDS portal. </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Create/modify vector graphics using Corel Draw, Creo Illustrate, or similar.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Familiarity with military publications specifications. Examples: 38784STD, and 87929F.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Familiarity with publications specifications. Examples: ATA 2200 and S1000D.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Work with engineering teams to collect product data necessary to develop technical documents.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Identify opportunities where the XML tools can be implemented to improve efficiency.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Identify opportunities for content reusability.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Work with IT to implement new xml software applications.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Assist other company divisions with the implementation or XML processes.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Evaluate proposals to ensure the tools available support the technical publications requirements.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px; margin-left:8px">Attend ATA, S1000D, and PTC related conferences as needed.</li></ol> Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's Degree in a technical or scientific field or its equivalent +5 years of experience in logistics engineering or related engineering disciplines. Required Skills include an understanding of Supportability Engineering (Reliability, Maintainability, Logistics and Product Support), demonstrated ability to learn computer-based tools, process oriented, strict attention to details, excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills (Customers, Peers, Management and Suppliers), ability to multiplex a variety of technically detailed tasks. <ol style="margin-bottom:11px"><li style="margin-left:8px">Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties. Communicates effectively both orally and in writing. Exhibits sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers. </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents. Analyze, evaluate, develop and implement processes and systems within budget and adhere to time requirements and schedule. </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Design and develop products and services using state-of-the-art technology, principles, theories and concepts.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Basic computer skills include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Engineering Database skills to include DOORS, WRR, and Oracle.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Experienced in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px; margin-left:8px">Ability to work with a team to solve complex In-Service Reliability issues.</li></ol>Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills BSCS or BSEE +10 years of experience in technical or scientific field and experience in logistics engineering or related engineering disciplines. Additional preferred experiences are:<ol style="margin-bottom:11px"><li style="margin-left:8px">Work experience with the process to create Component maintenance Publications using S1000D, ATA 1000BR specification, and the Raytheon EAGLE Publishing System or similar Publishing system.</li><li style="margin-left:8px; margin-bottom:11px">Work experience developing technical content using XML, SGML, and S1000D authoring publishing systems, DTDs, Schemas, data modules, style sheets to include XSL, Arbortext Styler, and FOSI support.</li></ol>Work experience with Scripts to support XML content transformations. Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $88189 - $149922 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
