The role also coordinates the reconstitution, aliquoting, storage, inventory, ordering, and order tracking of proteins, peptides, immunogens, and related laboratory materials. </span></p><br /><p style="color:!important"><span style="color:#000000">This position reports to the B-cell Sorting Scientific Lead and is part of the Antibody Discovery team located in Waltham, Massachusetts. This is an on-site laboratory role. At Abcam, our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide. </span></p><br /><p style="color:!important"><span style="color:#000000"><b>In this role, you will have the opportunity to:</b> </span></p><br /><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Prepare splenocytes, label proteins and other reagents with fluorescent dyes, and assist with flow cytometry and cell-sorting workflows while maintaining accurate sample identification and experimental records. </span></li><li><span style="color:#000000">Reconstitute, label, aliquot, store, and distribute proteins, peptides, immunogens, and related reagents for antibody discovery projects, following specified storage conditions and special handling instructions. </span></li><li><span style="color:#000000">Maintain accurate aliquot and freezer inventory records and support material logistics by reviewing requests, obtaining quotes, placing and tracking orders, receiving materials, resolving issues with vendors and Procurement, and communicating status to stakeholders. </span></li></ul><br /><p style="color:!important"><span style="color:#000000"><b>The essential requirements of the job include:</b> </span></p><br /><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, immunology, cell biology, or a related life-science field. </span></li><li><span style="color:#000000">Laboratory experience with biological sample processing and liquid handling</span></li><li><span style="color:#000000">Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate sample, inventory, and order records using spreadsheets, laboratory information systems, or comparable digital tools. </span></li></ul><br /><p style="color:!important"><span style="color:#000000"><b>Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:</b> </span></p><br /><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Ability to work on-site in a laboratory environment and follow applicable biosafety, chemical safety, and personal protective equipment requirements. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Ability to handle and store laboratory materials at refrigerated and frozen temperatures, including 4 C, -20 C, and -80 C storage locations. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Travel is not expected except for occasional business needs. </span></li></ul><br /><p style="color:!important"><span style="color:#000000"><b>It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:</b> </span></p><br /><ul><li><span style="color:#000000">Flow cytometry, cell sorting, lymphocyte isolation, or splenocyte preparation. </span></li><li><span style="color:#000000">Mammalian cell culture</span></li><li><span style="color:#000000">Fluorescent labeling of proteins or other biological reagents. </span></li><li><span style="color:#000000">Laboratory inventory management, purchasing, vendor communication, or order tracking in a regulated or quality-focused environment. </span></li></ul><br /><p>The salary range for this role is 53,500.00 - 65,000.00 USD Annual.
