Job Description:
Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), a serious liver disease that can progress to cirrhosis, liver failure, need for liver transplantation and premature mortality. Every member of our Madrigal team is connected by our shared purpose: leading the fight against MASH. Madrigal’s medication, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), is a once-daily, oral, liver-directed THR-β agonist designed to target key underlying causes of MASH. Rezdiffra is the first and only medication approved by both the FDA and European Commission for the treatment of MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2 to F3). An ongoing Phase 3 outcomes trial is evaluating Rezdiffra for the treatment of compensated MASH cirrhosis (F4c). Our success is driven by our people. We are building a dynamic, inclusive, and high-performing culture that values scientific excellence, operational rigor, and collaboration. To support our continued growth, we are strengthening our workforce strategy to ensure we have the right talent, at the right time, in the right way. The Associate Director, Orchestration Analytics & Products leads the strategy, design, and activation of analytics-enabled orchestration products across HCP engagement and Patient Services. Reporting to the Senior Director, Advanced Analytics Products, this role translates Commercial business needs into scalable products that use data, analytics, AI, and business rules to improve how decisions are made and activated across customer and patient journeys. Serving as the connective product leader across Commercial functions, Advanced Analytics, Data Enablement, and IT, the Associate Director defines what orchestration capabilities should be built, how they work, and how they integrate into business workflows — while functional partners retain accountability for business strategy, analytics development, data management, platforms, and execution. The portfolio spans HCP and Patient Services use cases, from omnichannel decisioning and next-best-action / experience to patient case prioritization and next-best-intervention. Role & Responsibilities Develop and maintain a prioritized roadmap of analytics-enabled orchestration products aligned to Commercial priorities, favoring reusable capabilities across brands, functions, and use cases over isolated point solutions. Partner with Marketing, Sales, Patient Services, and Commercial Analytics to identify the decisions and workflows where data, analytics, AI, or automation can materially improve outcomes, and prioritize by business value, data readiness, feasibility, and expected impact. Lead product discovery and translate business needs into clear orchestration product requirements, defining the core product construct — decision, signals, analytics or business rules, recommended action, activation workflow, and expected outcome. Partner with Advanced Analytics to translate business decisions into analytical requirements and ensure outputs are actionable and explainable, and with Data Enablement to define the signals and data each product requires. Partner with IT and platform owners to define how orchestration products integrate into CRM, marketing automation, Patient Services, and other Commercial workflows, establishing business rules and guardrails with functional owners. Enable HCP orchestration capabilities — audience and customer prioritization, behavioral and event-driven triggers, personal and non-personal journey orchestration, next-best-action / experience, channel optimization, personalization and sequencing, and closed-loop learning — while Marketing and Sales retain ownership of brand, customer, channel, content, and field strategy. Enable Patient Services orchestration capabilities — patient journey and barrier identification, patient and case prioritization, next-best-intervention, workflow and task orchestration, case-complexity and capacity analytics, and analytics-enabled case-manager, nurse, and field-reimbursement workflows — while Patient Services retains ownership of the service model, interventions, staffing, and outcomes. Lead orchestration products from concept through development, activation, adoption, measurement, and continuous improvement, coordinating cross-functional delivery and ensuring recommendations are embedded into the workflows and channels where users can act on them. Establish product success measures with Commercial Analytics, monitor adoption, performance, and business impact, and use those learnings to prioritize enhancements and scale successful capabilities across additional brands, functions, and channels. Qualifications Typical Degree & Years of Experience Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in business, analytics, technology, life sciences, engineering, or a related discipline preferred. 7+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or biotech Commercial Analytics, Advanced Analytics, Omnichannel, Patient Services, Commercial Operations, or product management. Demonstrated experience translating complex business problems into analytical, digital, or data-enabled products. Experience with pharmaceutical omnichannel engagement, Patient Services, or related Commercial workflows. Working knowledge of advanced analytics, AI, experimentation, and optimization concepts (hands-on model development is not required). Experience partnering with data and technology teams to move products from concept through implementation and adoption. Preferred Experience spanning multiple Commercial functions (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Patient Services). Formal product-management experience — roadmaps, backlog, and lifecycle ownership. Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce) and Patient Services / hub workflows. Experience with next-best-action / recommendation or journey-orchestration capabilities. Experience supporting specialty or rare disease brands. Skills & Competencies Strong product-management, structured problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills. Ability to translate effectively among business, analytics, data, and technical stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to influence and lead complex initiatives without direct authority. Product mindset — owns what gets built and how it integrates, while enabling partners to own strategy, analytics, data, and execution. Impact High-value orchestration products deployed and adopted within Commercial workflows, improving HCP engagement and Patient Services operations. Increased activation of advanced analytics and AI in day-to-day Commercial decision-making, with reduced fragmentation through reusable capabilities. Faster progression of priority use cases from business problem to operational capability, with clear product ownership and continuous improvement.
