Job Description Senior System Architect with prior experience as a lead DevSecOps Architect, Platform Architect, and/or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE). This resource will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the Sonatype Products Platform and providing best practices, preferably knowledgeable of the AWS Well-Architected Framework, for setting up Infrastructure as Code (IaC), microservices design patterns, utilizing efficient AWS services, while integrating and coordinating into performant CI/CD automated pipelines for delivering software products. Candidate must understand High Availability (HA) configuration patterns, backup strategies, and systems monitoring. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's Degree - Computer Sciences or related field. Ability to obtain Public Trust (NACI) Minimum Qualifications: <ul style="margin-bottom:11px"><li>5 years experience designing, writing, maintaining automation for configuration management, application deployment, and infrastructure orchestration using industry standard tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform etc.</li><li>Hands on experience setting up Sonatype products using AWS infrastructure.</li><li> Nine or more years of experience in the design and development of applications.</li><li>Nine or more years of experience in data modeling, data warehousing, distributed processing, utilization of tools for data modeling and logical and physical database design, software integration, and/or security issues and techniques, as required.</li><li>Nine or more years of experience with business and system object modeling. </li><li>Nine or more years of experience developing analysis & design and software architecture documents.</li><li>At least nine years coding experience with task specified programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, C#, PowerBuilder, etc.).</li><li>At least nine years coding experience with SQL or database stored procedures.</li><li>At least nine years of experience with Internet/Intranet protocols and web server technologies, if required.</li><li>At least nine years of experience building Service Oriented Architecture using web service standards (i.e., SOAP, RPC, REST, or micro services).</li><li>At least seven years of experience with current network, development and database architectures and technologies.</li><li> At least seven years of experience developing systems architectures, if required.</li><li>At least seven years of experience developing enterprise projects utilizing iterative system development methodologies, if required.</li><li>Knowledge of advanced testing tools and at least one year of experience with automated test driven development in an agile environment.</li><li>Experience with continuous integrated and continuous delivery tools and technologies.</li><li>At least one year of experience with user story development or analysis in an agile development environment, if required.</li><li>At least five years of experience as a technical leader of software engineering or computer professionals, as required. </li></ul>Required Skills: Ability to...<ul><li style="margin-left:32px">Ensure compatibility between equipment and software, analyze operational/systems requirements, support design reviews, and present technical briefings. </li><li style="margin-left:32px">Evaluate, assess, document, and test data security and continuity of operations for systems and programs. </li><li style="margin-left:32px">Serve as solutions provider to senior management and professional staff concerning areas of technological development and advancement. </li><li style="margin-left:32px">Formulate recommendation on hardware/software interfacing, large scale systems, expert systems, and technical problems. </li><li style="margin-left:32px">Perform business and system object modeling simulation and analysis. </li><li style="margin-left:32px">Advise and recommend system characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed and I/O requirements. </li><li style="margin-left:32px">Provide enterprise systems architecture expertise in developing systems supporting common purposes, processes, architectures, and standards. </li><li style="margin-left:32px">Develop strategy for enterprise-wide methodology or tool implementation or planning and implementing enterprise technology changes in all layers of the architecture including front end, middle tier and backend technologies and tools. </li><li style="margin-left:32px">Design and implement infrastructure automation, using tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform etc,</li><li style="margin-left:32px">Define DevSecOps processes including CI/CD pipelines to build and deploy software systems including infrastructure set up and configurations.</li><li style="margin-left:32px">Manage configuration automation across Linux systems.</li><li style="margin-left:32px">Utilize AWS to set up Sonatype products.</li></ul> Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Knowledge of the AWS Well-Architected Framework, for setting up Infrastructure as Code (IaC), microservices design patterns, utilizing efficient AWS services, while integrating and coordinating into performant CI/CD automated pipelines for delivering software products. Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
