Tax Accountant – Hybrid / Brookline, MA

Our client, a professional services firm, is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant / Preparer to support individual tax preparation and related accounting activities. This role will focus primarily on preparing and reviewing individual tax returns while assisting with general tax-season priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual income tax returns of varying complexity
• Review tax documentation and supporting financial information
• Assist with federal and state tax reporting requirements
• Research and address routine tax preparation matters
• Support the completion and review of tax returns during periods of high volume
• Help ensure tax work is completed accurately and within established deadlines

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience preparing individual income tax returns
• Previous CPA firm experience
• ProSeries experience preferred
• QuickBooks experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
