Optometric Technician

OPTOMETRIC TECHNICIAN – EYE CARE, MIT Health, assists the Optometrists and Ophthalmologists (Eye Care Providers) in obtaining clinical information from patients; performs diagnostic tests; assists with contact lens fittings and conducts patient training in insertion, removal, wearing schedule, disinfection and proper care of contact lenses; performs other tasks as specified by the ECP in providing complete and comprehensive eye care;maintains the contact lens inventory, re -ordering as supplies are required; and is responsible for ordering routine office equipment and supplies as necessary.
