Buyer/Planner (Entry-Level) – Manufacturing Location: Boxborough, MA Pay: Competitive, $25+/hrm (Based on Experience) Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday Job Type: Temp-to-Hire Adecco Staffing is working with a manufacturing plant in Boxborough, MA. We are looking for a Buyer/Planner! This is a Temp-hire position.<h2 style="text-align:start">About the Role</h2>We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer/Planner to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for someone looking to build a career in supply chain, purchasing, or production planning. The Buyer/Planner will help ensure materials are available to support production schedules while maintaining accurate inventory levels and working closely with suppliers and internal teams.<h2 style="text-align:start">Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Assist with purchasing raw materials, components, and supplies needed for production.</li><li>Monitor inventory levels and help maintain adequate stock.</li><li>Support production planning by reviewing schedules and material requirements.</li><li>Create and process purchase orders.</li><li>Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any shortages.</li><li>Track open orders and follow up on late deliveries.</li><li>Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records in the ERP/MRP system.</li><li>Work with production, warehouse, and quality teams to resolve material-related issues.</li><li>Analyze inventory data and identify opportunities to improve material flow and reduce shortages.</li><li>Perform other supply chain and purchasing duties as assigned.</li></ul><h2 style="text-align:start">Qualifications</h2><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field is a plus.</li><li>Previous experience in manufacturing, inventory, purchasing, customer service, or administrative support is preferred but not required.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.</li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.</li><li>Strong communication and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus but not required.</li></ul><h2 style="text-align:start">Benefits</h2><ul><li>Weekly pay</li><li>Health and dental insurance</li><li>Temp-to-hire opportunity with long-term career potential</li><li>On-the-job training</li><li>Opportunity for growth within the company</li><li>Supportive team environment</li></ul>If you're looking to start a career in manufacturing supply chain and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you!
