Elementary Classroom Teacher at Lawrence Public Schools

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Knowledge of early childhood development and best instructional practices Teaching core content classes in a self-contained classroom/homeroom: Fundations, ELA(CKLA) Mathematics(Eureka), Science, and Social Studies Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs Effective verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in using instructional technology Cultural competency and commitment to serving a diverse student population Capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and support staff Willingness to reflect on practice and implement feedback Attending IEP, 504, student support, and team meetings Participating in grade-level and content vertical planning meetings Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Experience in collaborating with social service agencies. Strong facilitation and communication skills. Proficient in English. Bilingual Candidates Preferred.
