Interior Design Assistant Location: Aspen, ColoradoWork Model: OnsiteEmployment Type: Full-TimePay Range: $40–$45 per hour About the Role RH Interior Design is looking for a Design Assistant to support our design team through key phases of project lifecycles. This isn't a background role — you'll be working directly alongside senior designers, contributing to real client projects from concept through installation. What you'll do - Support Interior Designers on active client projects, from initial concept development through final installation- Help prepare and organize design presentations, mood boards, and material samples- Coordinate with vendors, showrooms, and contractors to track orders, lead times, and deliveries- Maintain project documentation including budgets, purchase orders, and product specifications- Assist with client communication and follow-up, keeping relationships warm and informed- Research new products, materials, and furnishings to support design vision- Manage sample libraries and keep the studio organized and project-ready About you - Degree or coursework in Interior Design, Architecture, Fine Arts, or a related field- Some hands-on experience in a design studio, showroom, or related environment — internships count- Comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment with multiple active clients- Strong eye for aesthetics with an understanding of space, scale, and proportion- Solid organizational skills; you track details without being reminded- Proficiency in design tools (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)- Genuine interest in building client relationships, not just completing tasks What we offer - Competitive hourly pay: $40–$45/hour- Opportunity to work on high-profile residential and commercial projects- Direct mentorship from experienced RH Interior Designers- A creative, collaborative studio environment
