Typical duties assigned to this position:<ul><li>Lead a software team through Agile software engineering design and development</li><li>Employ your expertise, decision making skills, and independent judgment in technical areas</li><li>Lead Design Review activities including generating presentation materials, </li><li>Communicate essential information and coordinate with engineering disciplines and functions</li><li>Support the development of program schedules, earned value criteria, and productivity metrics for efficient performance as needed</li><li>Influence and contribute to Software Design and Architectural Decisions </li><li>Ensure the established software development process is implemented successfully</li><li>Support important program capture and proposal teams with software baselines that include development and cost/scheduling estimation</li><li>Develop and present material to customers and interface with external stakeholders</li><li>Work with Discipline Section Leads to determine program staffing needs and “right person/right job”</li></ul>Required Education, Experience, & Skills <ul style="margin-bottom:11px"><li style="margin-left:8px">10+ years of professional experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field</li><li style="margin-left:8px">DoD Secret Clearance</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Demonstrated ability to guide individuals through complicated or difficult situations effectively and professionally</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Experience with the full life-cycle of software development including performing software testing, validation, and verification activities</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Experience with software engineering processes, methodologies, and tools</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Experience with proposal development activities, including proposal text development, cost and schedule estimation, and presentation activities</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Experience with Agile SW development methodologies</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px; margin-left:8px">Prior experience in technical/project team leadership</li></ul>Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills <ul style="margin-bottom:11px"><li>Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field</li><li>Background in one or more of the following: <ul><li style="margin-left:8px">Embedded and/or application software development in one or more: C++, Python, Ada</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Experience with Machine Learning and/or Algorithm development and optimization in C++, CUDA, or Open CL</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Developing Test Automation Software, Common frameworks, and software tests – typically in Python</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Developing Test Support Software for test stands and workstations including Graphical User Interface</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Previous experience with SW applications to Electro-Optical/Infrared technologies</li></ul></li><li style="margin-left:8px">Experience with Model Based Engineering</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px; margin-left:8px">Experience with GRA, Big Iron, or OMS Architectures </li></ul> Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $149603 - $254317 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
