Job Description <ul style=""><li style="list-style-type:none"><ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li>Geospatial Analysis & Modeling: Perform advanced spatial analysis to support the Sentinel program's operational requirements, including site suitability analysis and network analysis.</li><li>Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship to junior GIS technicians and act as the primary point of contact for all geospatial queries within the program.</li><li>Strategic Planning: Define the team geospatial roadmap and identify opportunities to integrate new GIS technologies or methodologies to improve operational efficiency.</li><li>Data Management: Design, implement, and maintain geodatabases. Ensure data integrity through rigorous QA/QC processes and adhere to BAE Systems and government data governance standards.</li><li>Cartographic Production: Create high-quality, professional maps for executive briefings and technical reports.</li><li>Contract Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify geospatial requirements and deliver tailored solutions that optimize resource allocation and mission readiness.</li><li>Tool Development: Develop and automate repetitive GIS tasks using Python (ArcPy/PyGIS) or ModelBuilder to increase operational efficiency.</li><li>Compliance: Ensure all geospatial activities comply with security protocols, ITAR regulations, and program-specific data handling requirements.</li></ul></li></ul>Required Education, Experience, & Skills <ul style=""><li style="list-style-type:none"><ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Geomatics, or a related technical field.</li><li>Experience: 7+ years of professional experience in GIS analysis, preferably within the defense, aerospace, or government contracting sectors.</li><li>Technical Proficiency:<ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li>Expert-level proficiency in Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcMap.</li><li>Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal for ArcGIS, and SDE (Spatial Database Engine).</li><li>Strong command of coordinate systems, projections, and geospatial data formats.</li></ul></li><li>Analytical Thinking: Ability to synthesize complex datasets and provide clear, concise spatial interpretations for non-technical stakeholders.</li></ul></li></ul>Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills <ul style=""><li style="list-style-type:none"><ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li>Programming: Proficiency in Python for automation and data manipulation.</li><li>Database Skills: Proficiency in SQL and relational database management.</li><li>Advanced Tools: Experience with Remote Sensing, LiDAR processing, or 3D modeling (ArcGIS Pro 3D/CityEngine).</li><li>Certification: GISP (GIS Professional) certification or equivalent.</li></ul></li></ul> Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $107359 - $182510 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
