We’re seeking an organized individual to handle lab support operations, including glasswash, garment management, and gas/dry ice management. You'll be the primary point of contact for lab personnel, ensuring compliance and efficiency in all support activities. </div><div>A day in the Life: </div><div><ul><li>Perform specific tasks associated with labware operations, including precision cleaning, inventory management, quality control, and sterilization through autoclaving </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Handle gas cylinder order placements and possess knowledge of gas meters, with the ability to safely manage encounters with HAZMAT materials. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Collect used labware/materials from various labs and ensure dedicated points of use are fully restocked </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Handle gas, garment, and dry ice management, ensuring a consistent supply and safe storage of these materials. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Partner with clients to understand their labware and material needs, providing timely support and ensuring stock availability </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Follow well-defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, SOPs & Work Instructions </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Maintain accurate inventory records, fulfill contractual obligations, and assist in tracking business metrics. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>May perform other duties as assigned by management. </li></ul></div><div>Keys to Success: </div><div>Education </div><div>High school diploma or equivalent required. </div><div>Experience </div><div>2+ years' experience with material handling, customer facing, lab environment or related experience is required. </div><div>Good x Practice (GxP) environment or laboratory setting experience preferred </div><div>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities </div><div><ul><li>Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams). </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a safety-first approach. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. </li></ul></div><div>Physical Requirements / Work Environment </div><div><ul><li>The role primarily involves working independently at customer sites, which may include areas with chemical-based allergens like penicillin and tetracycline. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Personal protective equipment, such as lab coats, coveralls, facemasks, and steel-toe shoes, is often required. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>The position requires regular lifting of 30-40 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and using equipment like pushcarts and pallet jacks. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Standing, walking, reaching, and bending are frequent activities, sometimes in varied temperature environments. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Overtime work may also be necessary. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>As a condition of your employment with Thermo Fisher Scientific, you must successfully complete and satisfy Thermo Fisher’s pre-employment screening (including background check and drug test) and any customer-mandated screening, credentialing, or badging requirements.
